The property

Located at the south edge of the the village, the plot incorporates a two story house with the traditional "hayati" (a covered extention of the indoors) at the west end of the garden and a long ground building that used to be a stable, residing at the opposite (east) end of the garden.

The shed - "Makrynari" in 2009.

While the house was in a habitable condition, the shed needed urgent repairs before the roof collapsed. Refurbishment and conversion of the shed into a small single space cot, was the first step of the Resoration project. It was dictated by the availability of financing resources and the need of the family to have somewhere to stay while the Restoration of big house was being planned and implemented. One has to consider that building works in Prespa can only take place from April to November every year due to very low temperatures (up to -15 C) in winter.
